MSFD Descriptor 6: Anchoring and Mooring Hotspots
This dataset identifies indicative areas around the Maltese islands used for anchoring and mooring of vessels. It was compiled to support the assessment of Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) descriptor D6C2, which addresses physical disturbance to the seabed from human activities. The data is published by the Planning Authority of Malta and is accessible via a WFS service, allowing spatial analysis of anchoring and mooring hotspots.
