MSFD Descriptor 8: Contaminants in Posidonia oceanica
This dataset provides a WMS map service showing concentrations of contaminants in sediment and Posidonia oceanica seagrass in Maltese marine waters, monitored under the EMFF 8.3.1 Project. Monitoring follows Malta's factsheets for the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD), specifically Descriptor 8, which addresses contaminant levels and their effects on the marine environment. The data is published by the Planning Authority of Malta and covers national marine waters, supporting environmental status assessments under the MSFD reporting framework.This dataset includes the concentration of contaminants in sediment and Posidonia in marine waters as monitored under the EMFF 8.3.1 Project.
