Night time noise indicator in the industrial areas
This web map service (WMS) layer shows night-time noise indicator levels representing sleep disturbance in industrial areas across Malta, mapped in accordance with Directive 2002/49/EC on the assessment and management of environmental noise. It is published by the Planning Authority Malta and forms part of the national environmental noise mapping data required under the EU Environmental Noise Directive. The layer provides spatial information on noise exposure during night-time hours specifically within designated industrial zones, distinguishing this indicator from broader daytime or combined noise assessments used for general environmental and land-use planning purposes.This layer shows the night time noise indicator levels which represent the noise indicator for sleep disturbance in the industrial areas as defined for Malta according to the requirements of Directive 2002/49/EC relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise.
