MSFD Descriptor 1 and 6: Maerl
This dataset provides spatial data on percentage cover of maerl (rhodoliths) recorded off the northeast coast of Malta, relevant to Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) Descriptors 1 and 6. The data were collected under the EMFF 8.3.1 project and monitored according to Malta's MSFD monitoring factsheets. Access is provided via a WMS service. The dataset is published by the Planning Authority Malta and supports assessment of biodiversity and seabed integrity within Maltese national waters.This dataset includes data for % cover of rhodoliths located in the NE of Malta. Such data was collected under the EMFF 8.3.1 Project. The monitoring was undertaken in line with Malta's monitoring factsheets for the MSFD Directive.
