Lake and TRaC Anthropogenic Pressures
This dataset identifies significant anthropogenic pressures affecting lake and transitional/coastal (TRaC) waterbodies in Ireland that are assessed as being at risk of failing to meet water quality objectives under the Water Framework Directive. Although multiple pressures may affect any given waterbody, only those considered significant, meaning they must be addressed to achieve or maintain good water status, are recorded. The dataset supports water quality management and monitoring efforts by identifying the sources of environmental stress on lakes and transitional and coastal waters across the country, published as part of Ireland's national open data initiative.Significant pressures have been identified for waterbodies that are At Risk of not meeting their water quality objectives under the Water Framework Directive.
