This dataset lists significant extractive industry pressures identified for lake and transitional/coastal (TRaC) waterbodies in Ireland that are at risk of failing to meet water quality objectives under the EU Water Framework Directive. Although each waterbody may face multiple pressures, only those requiring targeted action to achieve or maintain good water status are recorded as significant. The data supports national water quality assessment and river basin management planning by identifying where extractive industry activities contribute to risk status, helping prioritise mitigation measures for affected lake and transitional/coastal waterbodies across Ireland.Significant pressures have been identified for waterbodies that are At Risk of not meeting their water quality objectives under the Water Framework Directive.
