This dataset identifies significant domestic waste water pressures affecting lake and transitional and coastal (TRaC) waterbodies in Ireland that are assessed as being at risk of not meeting water quality objectives under the Water Framework Directive. Although multiple pressures can affect any given waterbody, the dataset focuses on those considered significant enough to require action to help the waterbody achieve its environmental objectives. It is published as part of Ireland's national open data portal and supports water quality management and river basin planning by identifying where domestic waste water infrastructure is contributing to pressure on lake, transitional, and coastal water environments.Significant pressures have been identified for waterbodies that are At Risk of not meeting their water quality objectives under the Water Framework Directive.
