This historical geospatial layer results from the digitization, georeferencing, and assembly of the 30 plates of the map of the city of Geneva drawn by surveyor François Janin between 1837 and 1840, known as the Céard Plan. Calibration points were established by identifying buildings that have remained unchanged since the mid-19th century, allowing the historical map to be accurately overlaid on the modern cadastral base.
