This national dataset covers peat production areas in Finland between 2005 and 2021 and their subsequent land use after production ends. It was compiled by the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) by combining data from the National Land Survey's topographic database, laser-scanning (LiDAR) data, and afforestation subsidy data from the Finnish Forest Centre. The dataset was produced as part of the Mires and Wetlands theme of the Mammutti project, documenting how former peat extraction sites are being repurposed, such as for forestry, agriculture, wetland restoration, or other after-use categories across the country.Aineisto kuvaa turvetuotantoalueita vv. 2005-2021 ja niiden jälkikäyttöä koko Suomesta.
