This dataset provides area classifications describing elements of urban and community structure in Finland, developed to depict and monitor changes in settlement patterns. The YKR zoning is created by combining 250 x 250 metre grid cells using GIS methods, based on criteria such as building efficiency, building use, and other structural characteristics.
