Reserved landscape area
This dataset identifies reserved landscape areas in Bavaria, Germany, where nature conservation and landscape protection must be given particular weight when balanced against competing land-use interests. Regional planning associations designate these areas within regional plans as zones of special importance for nature and landscape conservation. The dataset is published by the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and is relevant to spatial and environmental planning processes involving land use, agriculture, and nature protection at the regional level.Reserved areas are areas where there is a technical concern (here: Nature and landscape) must be given special weight when weighing up with competing uses. In the regional plans, the regional planning associations define areas of particular importance for nature conservation and landscape conservation as landscape reserves.
