This dataset provides the LMAX radar product, a site-based reflectivity dataset derived from the volume radar scan of the German Weather Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst, DWD). It has a horizontal resolution of 1 km x 1 km, covering a range of 180 km around each radar site (400 x 400 pixels), with 16-bit data resolution. New scans are produced every 5 minutes. Data are available for individual radar sites across Germany, including Borkum, Boostedt, Rostock, Hannover, Ummendorf, Prötzel, Essen, Dresden, Neuheilenbach, Offenthal, Türkheim, Isen, Feldberg, and Memmingen, with current site details listed in DWD's radar and wind profiler station index.”Bei dem LMAX-Radardaten handelt es sich um ein Standort-Reflektivitätsprodukt aus dem Volumen-Radarscan.
