This dataset provides the geographic range of species covered under Article 17 of the EU Habitats Directive, which requires Member States to report every six years on progress made implementing the Directive. Since the Directive focuses on maintaining or restoring a favourable conservation status for habitats and species of Community interest, this reporting includes mapped species range data for the relevant reporting period.
