This national dataset from Finland covers sites identified by the mire protection working group (2012-2015) as nationally significant peatland areas due to their natural values, selected because they best complement the existing protected area network. It includes the sites proposed by the working group for supplementary mire (suo) protection, as well as state-owned land areas where protection measures have already been implemented.
