IMAGE2012 is a national satellite image mosaic of Finland produced by the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) as part of the EU Copernicus Gioland project. It is composed mainly of spring and summer satellite imagery from the IRS, LISS and RapidEye sensors, with a pixel size of 20 metres. In the mosaic, water bodies and areas of missing data appear almost black, while closed coniferous forest and other dense vegetation types are rendered in distinct tones, allowing visual differentiation of land cover classes across the country.Suomen IMAGE2012 satelliittikuvamosaiikki on tuotettu Sykessä EU:n Copernicus Gioland-hankkeessa.
