Position of the Aquaculture boundary farms
This WFS API provides the geographic positions of aquaculture boundary farms in Malta, derived from Notices to Mariners and GPS observations carried out by the responsible department. The dataset was originally compiled as part of the EU LIFE+ co-financed programme LIFE BaĦAR for N2K, which addressed Natura 2000 marine habitat conservation. It is published by the Planning Authority Malta and offers national-level spatial coverage, useful for mapping aquaculture installations relative to marine boundaries and protected habitat areas around the Maltese islands.”Position of the Aquaculture boundary farms were taken from Notices to Mariners and from observations carried out by the Department (GPS positions).This data was included as part of the dataset used for one of the co-financed EU LIFE+ Funding Programmes - LIFE BaĦAR for N2K project.
