Night time noise indicator for major roads
This API provides night-time noise indicator data for major roads in Malta, published by the Planning Authority Malta. The indicator represents sleep disturbance levels caused by road traffic noise, calculated according to the requirements of Directive 2002/49/EC on the assessment and management of environmental noise. It offers free, unauthenticated access to environmental noise mapping data relevant to major road corridors across Malta, supporting environmental noise assessment and management in line with EU noise directive obligations.This layer shows the night time noise indicator levels which represent the noise indicator for sleep disturbance in major roads as defined for Malta according to the requirements of Directive 2002/49/EC relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise.
