This dataset from INSEE (French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies) provides characteristics of main residences - including dwelling type and floor area - cross-tabulated with the socio-professional category (PCS) of the reference person of the household. Data are available at the municipal (communal) and supra-municipal levels, covering all of France excluding Mayotte.
