Water Framework Directive Groundwater Waterbodies - Cycle 2
This dataset provides polygon boundaries of Groundwater Waterbodies (GWB) in Ireland, delineated for Cycle 2 reporting under the EU Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC), which establishes a framework for the protection, improvement and management of surface water and groundwater. The boundaries are validated by scientists at the Geological Survey of Ireland.
