Urban Waste Water Agglomerations Impacting on Shellfish Waters
This dataset identifies urban areas (agglomerations) in Ireland where wastewater treatment upgrades are required to reduce impacts on shellfish waters. It is published by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and may be updated as further locations are added pending the outcome of ongoing impact assessments. Additional context on urban areas affecting shellfish waters is available in the EPA's Annual Urban Waste Water Report. The dataset supports monitoring of wastewater infrastructure needs relative to shellfish water quality protection at a national level.This shows the urban areas where upgrade works are needed to protect against impact on shellfish waters.
