This dataset, published via the Pays de la Loire open data portal, identifies priority sectors for action against diffuse agricultural pesticide pollution within the Loire Estuary water management plan (SAGE Estuaire de la Loire, 2024 edition). Diffuse agricultural runoff, alongside urban and industrial discharges, is a major source of contamination of surface and groundwater by nutrients and pesticides. The SAGE requires that, in the most vulnerable sectors, targeted measures be implemented to reduce these pressures.
