This dataset identifies headwater catchments, the areas where watercourses originate, within the Loire Estuary SAGE water management plan area in the Pays de la Loire region of France. It maps the drainage surface extending from the source of each small tributary up to the point where it joins or forms part of a main watercourse classified at Strahler order 3 or higher. The dataset supports hydrological and land-use planning analysis related to water resource management in the region, published via the Pays de la Loire open data portal.Les têtes de bassins versants sont les zones où les cours d'eau prennent naissance. Elles représentent la surface drainée de la source de chacun des petits tributaires jusqu'à constituer ou rejoindre l'axe principal d'un cours d'eau (rang Strahler supérieur ou égal à 3).
