This dataset provides figures on resident population by place of residence in Portugal, published via the national open data portal dados.gov.pt. Resident population is defined as the number of individuals who, whether present or absent from a given dwelling at the time of observation, lived at their usual place of residence for a continuous period of at least 12 months prior to that moment, or who arrived there with the intention of staying for that minimum period.
