This dataset, published on the Pays de la Loire open data portal and sourced from the French national mapping agency (IGN), provides the geographic boundaries of regional nature parks (Parcs naturels régionaux) located in the Pays de la Loire region. Regional nature parks were established, starting fifty years ago, to protect and promote rural territories with high-quality landscapes, natural environments and cultural heritage whose ecological balance remains fragile.
