This dataset provides a four-class interpreted map depicting surface algae rafts in the Baltic Sea, with particular focus on the sea areas surrounding Finland. The classification indicates the likelihood of surface algae occurrence in a given area, using four categories: no surface algae, possible, probable, and certain. The data are derived from Landsat-8/9 satellite imagery covering the period from 2017 onward.
