Inventaire des murs d'intérêt pour la biodiversitéInventory of walls of biodiversity interest
This dataset from the Geneva territorial information system (Système d'information du territoire genevois) inventories walls in the canton of Geneva that host notable biodiversity. Although artificial landscape elements, walls provide habitat for fungi, lichens, lizards, ferns and other species, with mosses in particular using them as growth substrate. The type of wall material, such as limestone or concrete, influences which species can settle. The inventory supports identification and mapping of walls with ecological value across the canton.
