This dataset lists fixed breeding sites for amphibians in the canton of Geneva, part of the Swiss federal inventory of amphibian breeding sites of national importance. Amphibians are heavily threatened in Switzerland: apart from the common frog, all species still present are listed as rare or endangered. The federal ordinance on the protection of amphibian breeding sites aims to preserve these habitats through legal designation and spatial planning measures. The data is published by the Système d'information du territoire genevois (SITG), the geographic information system of the canton of Geneva, and can be used for conservation planning and environmental assessment.Les batraciens sont fortement menacés.
