This dataset provides the water network derived from the Digital Landscape Model at 1:25,000 scale (DLM25), originally processed from ATKIS data (Official Topographic-Cartographic Information System). It has been revised multiple times and enriched with additional water-management attributes. The dataset is published by the Hessian State Office for Nature Conservation, Environment and Geology (HLNUG) for the German federal state of Hesse, and covers rivers, streams and other water bodies represented in the topographic reference model.Gewässernetz auf Basis des Digitalen Landschaftsmodells 1:25000 (DLM25), aufbereitet ursprünglich aus den ATKIS-Daten (Amtliches Topographisch-Kartographisches Informationssystem), mehrmals überarbeitet, mit zusätzlichen wasserwirtschaftlichen Attributen versehen.
