Windstorm: Dynamic Pressure at return period 100 years
This national dataset provides windstorm risk maps for Switzerland, showing peak wind gusts and their associated dynamic pressure for a 100-year return period, along with corresponding uncertainties. Published by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU), it offers a country-wide basis for estimating regional windstorm risk. The maps are intended to complement, not replace, the Dynamic Pressure Reference defined in Standard SIA 261 Annex E, and can support hazard assessment and infrastructure planning related to windstorm exposure across Switzerland.The Windstorm Risk Maps show peak wind gusts and their dynamic pressure and the corresponding uncertainties.
