Windstorm: Gusts at return period 100 years
This dataset provides nationwide maps of peak wind gusts and their associated dynamic pressure for a 100-year return period, together with corresponding uncertainty estimates, for Switzerland. Published by the Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU) under the Swiss Confederation, it offers a country-wide basis for estimating regional windstorm risk. The maps do not replace the Dynamic Pressure Reference defined in Standard SIA 261 Annex E, but complement it by showing spatial variation in gust intensity and pressure across the country, supporting hazard assessment related to windstorm events.The Windstorm Risk Maps show peak wind gusts and their dynamic pressure and the corresponding uncertainties.
