WFD Transitional Waterbody Status 2010 - 2012
This dataset presents interim overall status classifications for transitional waterbodies (estuarine waters) in Ireland, covering the assessment period 2010-2012. The results are produced under monitoring obligations of the EU Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC), which sets the objective of achieving or maintaining at least good ecological status and good chemical status in surface waters by 2015. It is published via Ireland's open data portal and provides status outcomes at waterbody level, supporting national reporting on water quality and progress toward Water Framework Directive targets.This dataset contains all the overall interim transitional waterbody status results, monitored as part of the EU Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) objectives to achieve or maintain at least good ecological status and good chemical status by 2015.
