This dataset provides statistics on trips made by residents in Spain for reasons mainly related to sports, broken down by destination, indicator and time period. It also covers international tourist arrivals motivated by sports-related reasons. The underlying data are drawn from the Resident Tourism Survey (ETR/FAMILITUR) and the Tourist Expenditure Survey (EGATUR), both prepared by Spain's National Statistics Institute. The dataset is published by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports and offers a national-level view of sports tourism patterns among residents and international visitors over time.This section includes information on both trips made by residents in Spain and international tourist arrivals that were initiated mainly for reasons related to sports.
