swissEO NDVIdiff: Changes in the NDVI
This national dataset provides a map of changes in the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) compared to the previous year's period, derived from Sentinel-2 satellite imagery at a spatial resolution of ten metres. The index reflects variation in vegetation density and/or chlorophyll ('greenness') content. Increases in NDVI can indicate vegetation growth or recovery, while decreases may point to stress, degradation, or loss of vegetation cover. Published by the Swiss Confederation (Federal Office of Topography, swisstopo) as part of the swissEO Earth observation programme, it supports monitoring of vegetation dynamics across Switzerland over time.Map of NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) changes compared to the previous year’s period, based on satellite data (Sentinel-2) with a spatial resolution of ten metres.
