This dataset provides S2ind, a set of index mosaics computed from Sentinel-2 satellite imagery covering Finland. Mosaics are generated twice a month, on the 15th and last day, each combining images collected during the preceding month, over the period from early April to late October. The purpose of the index mosaics is to enhance the detection of land-cover and vegetation features by combining multiple observations into a single composite, reducing the effect of cloud cover and improving temporal consistency. The dataset is published and maintained by the Finnish Meteorological Institute's National Satellite Data Centre.The image index mosaics called S2ind are computed from Sentinel-2 images.
