This dataset presents results of the FRA survey on violence against women, based on face-to-face interviews with 42,000 women across the EU, conducted between March and September 2012. It is described as the most comprehensive worldwide survey on women's experiences of violence, covering physical, sexual and psychological violence, including domestic violence, since age 15 and in the 12 months before interview, as well as stalking, sexual harassment, the role of new technologies in abuse, and childhood experiences of violence. The dataset of the FRA violence against women survey is stored with the UK Data Service, which is a recognised international service that is widely used by governmental and non-governmental institutions that produce survey data.
