Nitrate Sensitive Areas
Dataset covering Nitrate Sensitive Areas (NSAs) in England, published by Natural England. NSAs are designated areas overlying groundwater sources used for drinking water supply, where farmers were offered incentives to change agricultural practices in order to reduce nitrate leaching and stabilise or lower nitrate levels. There are 32 NSAs in England. The scheme is now closed to new applicants.
