This API provides data on aquatic and riparian vegetation (macrophytes) along rivers in the canton of Geneva, Switzerland, published by the Système d'information du territoire genevois (SITG). It comprises two datasets: one covering vegetation present in the wetted area of the river's minor bed ('lit'), and another covering vegetation on the major bed and vegetated riverbanks ('berges'). The data supports ecological monitoring and management of watercourse habitats and vegetation cover at a local, canton-wide scale.
