This REST API, provided by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen), allows lookup of technical vehicle data using either the vehicle's chassis number (VIN) or its registration number. A single query returns a near-complete and up-to-date dataset describing the vehicle's technical specifications, such as make, model, and technical approval details. The service does not return owner information or any data that could identify the vehicle's owner. Access requires an API key.
