This national dataset published by the French Ministry of Education provides the Social Position Index (Indice de Position Sociale, IPS) for lower-secondary schools (collèges) in France. The index summarises the socio-economic background of pupils enrolled at each school, based on parental occupation and other social indicators, and is used to compare the social composition of institutions across the country.
