This dataset is derived from the national dataset published on data.education.gouv.fr, restricted here to the Rennes académie (Région Bretagne, covering Brittany). The social position index (IPS) provides a measure of pupils' social status, calculated from the occupations and social categories (PCS) of parents or guardians of enrolled students.
