Hydrological study areas
This API provides boundary data for the hydrological study areas operated by the hydrology division of the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) since 1957. The network monitors long-term changes in the water regime within Switzerland's most natural catchment areas, capturing the diversity of the country's climatic regions. It covers natural, largely unregulated catchments selected to represent varying altitudes, geology, and precipitation patterns across Switzerland.
