HER boundaries
This dataset shows the geographic coverage of all 83 Historic Environment Records (HERs) in England. Historic Environment Records are resources maintained by local authorities and other bodies that hold information on archaeological sites, historic buildings, and other heritage assets. The dataset, published by Historic England, defines the boundary of the area covered by each individual HER, allowing users to identify which record holder is responsible for heritage information in a given location.
