This dataset provides the administrative division of Austria into municipalities (Gemeinden), with historical versions maintained since 2011. The geospatial data is supplied in the MGI Lambert projection (EPSG:31287). It is published and maintained by Statistik Austria, the national statistical office, and can also be viewed interactively via the STATatlas web mapping application.
