This dataset provides the Geological Map of Poland at a scale of 1:500,000, compiled in 2006 and harmonised to conform with the INSPIRE data specification for Geology – Geologic Map. It is published by the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute (PIG-PIB) and covers the national territory of Poland. The dataset presents generalised geological information, including surface lithology and stratigraphic units, suitable for broad-scale analysis rather than detailed site investigation.
