Food Register for Food Traffic Light
The Register of Foodstuffs for the Food Traffic Light for the purpose of providing information and promoting the sale of manufactured food was established on the basis of a parliamentary proposal amending the wording of Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic No 152/1995 on foodstuffs, as amended. The register of foodstuffs for the food traffic light was established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in accordance with Section 6a(1) of the Act. It is a simple, generally comprehensible and transparent food registration system that takes into account consumer requirements and contains information about the food and the food business operator, and registration is voluntary.
