This dataset is a national register of foodstuffs registered under Slovakia's food traffic light labelling system, established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development pursuant to Section 6a(1) of Act No. 152/1995 on Foodstuffs. It provides consumer-facing information on registered food products and the food business operators responsible for them, using a simple, transparent colour-coded labelling approach. Registration in the system is voluntary for food producers. The register supports consumer awareness and promotes the sale of registered manufactured foods across Slovakia.The Register of Foodstuffs for the Food Traffic Light for the purpose of providing information and promoting the sale of manufactured food was established on the basis of a parliamentary proposal amending the wording of Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic No 152/1995 on foodstuffs, as amended. The register of foodstuffs for the food traffic light was established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in accordance with Section 6a(1) of the Act. It is a simple, generally comprehensible and transparent food registration system that takes into account consumer requirements and contains information about the food and the food business operator, and registration is voluntary.
