Economic regions NFI
Dataset from Switzerland's National Forest Inventory dividing the country into fourteen economic regions, derived from the geometry of production regions. These zones reflect differences in forest growth conditions and economic circumstances, providing a more detailed spatial breakdown than the underlying production-region dataset. The data is published by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment (BAFU) and can be used for forestry planning, regional analysis of growth conditions, and comparison of economic factors affecting forest management across Switzerland.Switzerland is divided into fourteen areas according to the geometry of the data set. They represent different forest growth and economic conditions and represent a refinement of the data set of production regions.
