Gauging stations for hydrological study areas
This API provides data on gauging stations belonging to Switzerland's network of hydrological study areas, operated by the hydrology division of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) since 1957. The network monitors long-term changes in the water regime across the country's most natural catchment areas, chosen to reflect the diversity of Switzerland's climatic regions. It includes boundary and location information for the study areas and their associated gauging stations, supporting analysis of natural hydrological processes largely unaffected by human intervention such as water abstraction or river engineering.
