This dataset, published by the Île-de-France region (data as of 2011), divides the Île-de-France region into 118 study sectors. The boundaries largely follow existing SCOT (territorial coherence scheme) and inter-municipal cooperation structure limits. Where municipalities were not covered by either type of structure, groupings of municipalities were defined by expert judgment.
