It draws on statistical data from the population register (nomenclátor) of Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE), represented on geographic bases supplied by the National Geographic Institute and by the regional government. Coverage extends to the autonomous community as a whole and down to provinces, municipalities, and individual population nuclei.
