This polygon layer provides the administrative boundaries of municipalities as they appear on the cadastral map. It allows identification of the 43 municipalities within the Rennes metropolitan area. The boundaries correspond to municipal limits supplied in EDIGEO format by the DGFiP (French tax and land registry authority), and may include overlaps or gaps where cadastral limits do not perfectly align with official administrative boundaries.
